Message from the Chairman

Last June at the AGM in June 2016, I was elected as the Chair of the Residents’ Association for a second year. I have been a committee member for a few years aiding the association to achieve its objectives in liaising with the council for the benefit of serving the Hilgrove community. The committee is made up of 9 members all of whom are very devoted to ensuring that the needs of our estate are met and supported. The members come from diverse backgrounds with a range of skills that add to the melting pot of the Hilgrove community. We meet once a month on a Tuesday evening at 7 pm. There have been We continue to have ongoing issues in finding a suitable meeting room and continue to hold meetings at the Swiss Cottage community centre. I met with Deana Taziny, our new Ward Housing Manager to discuss possible venues which would suit future activities we would like to develop. So watch that space!

As well with changes in daily life circumstances, some of our long standing members will sadly be leaving the committee.  They are Stephen Fletcher (Secretary), Barbara and Eddy Cavenah. We would like to thank them immensely for the years of service as long standing members. Their contributions have been very valuable and much appreciated. They will be greatly missed.

We are therefore in need of new committee members and particularly from the following blocks:

Langhorne Court, Freeling House, Dobson Close and Leitch House

If you feel that you would like to engage, you can attend as an observer, or if there is anything you would like to bring to our attention please do contact us. We would very much welcome your input regarding any concerns residents might have with their block. You do not have to attend every meeting. We can be contacted by email: hilgrovetra@hotmail.com

We are a friendly bunch and always have a few laughs and we do our best to represent every resident on Hilgrove and usually manage to sort out problems that arise. We cannot, however, address issues of which we are not aware; so please keep in touch with us.
